Membership Secretary (Designate)

Mike started with DTI as an Assistant at Bournemouth. Joined 29 Cadet Course and on completion in 1976 was posted to Edinburgh. 1982 saw a move to Heathrow. In 1988, Mike became Manager (Cadets) at CATC. Mike returned to Ops at LATCC in 1993.

5 years out of the chair was too much and Mike moved into ATC Investigations. He was appointed Head ATC Investigation when Swanwick opened. A few years later Mike was appointed Head Safety Investigation NATS at CTC.

On retirement in 2013 he formed his own consultancy company primarily on contract to Eurocontrol. Mike finally stopped work in 2019. He still lives within a couple of miles from Swanwick  with  his wife Polly. 

Main hobby is singing Sea Shanties with Southampton Salty Sea Dogs. We did 58 gigs last year.
